"Oral History" of Governor Thornburgh aired by PCN

"Dick Thornburgh: An Oral History" was aired on the statewide network from December 26 through December 30, 2011.

The series of one-on-one interviews provided the network with more than nine hours of candid discussion with the Pittsburgh native, according to a news release. During the conversations, Thornburgh reflected on his childhood and other personal experiences and gave insight to his vast career in public service

Pittsburgh (Dec. 31, 2020) – Former Pennsylvania Gov. Dick Thornburgh, who made integrity and efficiency the hallmarks of his public service as a governor, U.S. attorney general and under-secretary-general of the United Nations, died peacefully of natural causes today in Pittsburgh, PA.  He was 88.  The governor’s public career spanned 25 years, and he retired earlier in 2020 as counsel to the international law firm of K&L Gates LLP.
