The Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law & Public Policy and the University Honors College would like to thank University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Mark A. Nordenberg for presenting the March 24, 2014 American Experience Distinguished Lecture titled:

PITT CHRONICLE NEWS RELEASE LINK
Among its many alliances, the Dick Thornburgh Forum for Law and Public Policy enjoys a particularly close collaboration with the University Honors College. This relationship is the inspiration of Chancellor Mark Nordenberg.
No event commemorates this good fortune more aptly than Chancellor Nordenberg’s presentation of the American Experience Distinguished Lecture on March 24, 2014. It was Chancellor Nordenberg who first recognized the mutual interests and complementary strengths of the Thornburgh Forum and Honors College in public service and education, and it was he who arranged three years ago for the American Experience Distinguished Lecture Series to become the cornerstone of a productive coalition between the Thornburgh Forum and the Honors College. Over the course of forty-five years this luminous series of addresses has provided the major forum in Pittsburgh for leaders from the highest echelons of service in government, education, journalism, and the nonprofit and profit sectors to share their perceptions of national and regional challenges and their wisdom in addressing them. Chancellor Nordenberg is one of the most appreciated university leaders in America today, and Pitt has truly benefitted from his nineteen years of stewardship that has lifted every corner of our institution.
