Sarah Biondi - 2026 Disability Service Award recipient

Sarah Biondi, a senior undergraduate student at Pitt,  has been awarded the 2026 Dick Thornburgh Forum Disability Service Award.

During her undergraduate career, Biondi worked closely with Disability Resources & Services, Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society and the Disability Studies Certificate program to support and advocate for the disabled community.

“Thank you to my incredible advisors, mentors and peers who have shaped and motivated me throughout my undergraduate journey,” Biondi said on social media. “Hail to Pitt!”

A natural sciences major who minored in sociology, Biondi also was one of two students honored by the College of General Studies with a 2026 Student of the Year Award.

Biondi will continue her studies at Pitt this fall, when she enters the School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences and begins pursuing her doctoral degree in physical therapy.
